" Hope "
This painting is one of my favorites. It just glows from the inside out with this warm presence. It's striking and powerful from any distance. I have received much feedback and many interpretations of the work. " Hope " really is one of those thought provoking works. The image was built up over several layers of paints and glazes that have been worn over and even scratched through giving the illusion of texture or pattern. The viewer gets a strong sense of the life of the work.

" Red Barn "
I just love this barn. I pass it everyday. It's a wonderful little view hidden in the distance off a long row of crops. It is most beautiful in the spring with everything popping to life. Whenever i see it i feel as though the waving tall grasses could easily morph into lush brilliant brush strokes of yellows and ochre. Here i find a playful and most happy place that i am pleased to be able to share with you.

This work is one in a series of pieces titled "Circle of Life". Recently my family and i have suffered several hardships including the devistating news that my uncle may only be with us for a few more months. I have always been a very quiet very internal person and through my art i find my loudest voice. I feel that "The Circle of Life" series has grown to represent everything good and happy we are blessed with in life. Even in times of pain or sorrow- i feel- there is always purpose and a continuation. Things and people we love will never truly be gone but instead will be with us always in everything. This work is one of hope and happiness

Doorways are just the best. Big colorful and beautiful entryways are always wonderful additions to any art collection. This particular doorway is inspired my a very very old cottage i passed while walking through the Henry Ford grouds.
