A series of clothed and unclothed figure studies and sketches
A man - leaning forward in an aggressive pose.
This is a graphite line with an acrylic wash in the shadows.
The light shimmered off Tiffany's torso.
The models red hair along with the purple robe looked very good.
Despite it's simplicity, this simple pose had a lot of character in it.
The strong light on the models back added drama to this pose.
This lady with dark red hair laid across her purple robe.
An Asian woman lying on a blue sheet.
This brunette (not really a blue lady) took nice poses and had a good presence on the model stand.
A delicate looking fair skinned woman.
A brunette lady with a highlight on her shoulder.
This sitting Tahitian dancer had the shiniest hair I'd ever seen. Just gorgeous!
This large framed person cast strong shadows.
A fair-haired woman with a delicate face.
This was the most animated model of the day. Loved drawing her.
Strong light on young man's back.
This is Emma, with a strong presence in her pose.
This fit lean looking lady was a challenge to draw... my first experiment with the new to me Yupo paper.
Emma is a tall woman with a certain and definite elegance about her.
This blonde woman was sitting, looking over her left shoulder, exposing her back. It was a good pose. I tried to keep it interesting.
The same lady in a series of two minute poses, all drawn on the same sheet of paper.

Bill,
You have been busy great colors, great subject matter, style of a seasoned professional (loosey goosey).
Are you making any money? I really need to find a way to make more money. My style is tighter and takes more time but I have a great deal of subject matter. Need your encouragement.
Darryl
Hi Darryl,
Just caught your comment here on Art Sweet. I think it’s a bit tough all over for artists right now with the economy still not back to normal. I’m hoping the ship gets righted soon. Painting seems like the easy part… getting them sold is not easy. People are holding on to their money. I get it. Never-the-less it seems like, for me at least, and I’m sure a lot of other artists feel the same way, I just want to paint. All the rest will get sorted through in due time.
My best advice is to be relentless and always be extra critical of your work. Being good these days is like being average. I see lots of good people out there. I think an artist has to be really unique and special and show very strong work to stand out from the hundreds and hundred of good painters. No, it’s not easy, but it is the goal. I always remember that there is always somebody better than me coming up right behind me! I’m trying my best to stay ahead!
Warm regards,
Bill

This a great collection of your work. I can see much growth in the way you approach your craft. I believe you will be recognized for your artistry and believe it is an event of recognition that starts it all off. your time is coming and it will be glorious for you and of course deserving for one who sticks with it and keeps the pressure on improving your work. You must know that we are all rooting for you and are looking for that day as much as you are.

Dear Emmanuelle,
A million apologies… I’ve just now seen your message here. I don’t know if it will still allow me to respond, though I’ll try here.
So much is going on. I don’t think I have your current email. Please email me at wmdn1@att.net. Would love to hear what is going on with you.
Warm regards,
